Straight Sabre
Straight Sabre is a fast weapon with a decent amount of damage. The most outstanding feature of the Straight Sabre is its decent amount of Deflection rate which makes it a perfect comfort weapon since its a safe weapon and is not easily punished by enemy counters too due to its swift strikes.
List of Straight Sabres
Sword
While the Sword is a short weapon like the Straight Sabre, its attacks are more focused on thrusting attacks which makes it great for poking enemies from a medium distance. Unfortunately, it has a longer wind up which makes it a bit more difficult and sluggish than the Straight Sabre.
List of Swords
Curved Sabre
Curved Sabres are fast but have a very short range. It is a perfect weapon for going up and personal against enemies by sticking to them and launching a flurry of attacks. They have a much superior deflect rate than Straight Sabres but have lower spirit attacks so precise parrying is necessary to be effective with the weapon.
List of Curved Sabres
Glaive
The Glaive is a long and heavy weapon. Its moves are centered around slashes which makes it perfect against groups of enemies. It also does a decent amount of damage and spirit damage but it leaves much to be desired on its deflection rate and speed.
List of Glaives
Halberd
Highly similar to the Glaive, the Halberd is a long weapon with a wide variety of moves which makes it perfect as a secondary weapon. Unlike the Glaive though, the Halberd sports a higher damage but has a lower spirit attack and guard stat but it has a slightly better deflect rate.
List of Halberds
Staves
The non-dual weapon that strikes faster than a Straight Sabre. The Staff has a decent amount of spirit damage and deflection rate but has a low amount of defense stat and base damage. It is one of the best weapons if you aim for fights with a high focus on the spirit gauge to unleash several fatal strikes in battle.
List of Staffs
Hammer
High Base and Spirit damage coupled with a decent amount of guard stat are what the Hammer provides. It sports a decent amount of range but its animation speed and deflect rate are poor which makes it unviable in many situations. It can be a strong secondary weapon if you are facing groups of enemies or if you have a weapon that you want to have if you wish to deal big damage in short bursts.
List of Hammers
Poleaxe
Highly similar to the Hammer, the Poleaxe is a slow and heavy weapon but it compensates with high base and spirit damage. It has a slightly higher deflect rate than the hammer but has roughly the same stat as the hammer when it comes to defense.
List of Poleaxes
Spear
A weapon with great range and long pokes which makes it perfect for fighting solo enemies. It, however, lacks wide-ranged attacks which makes it poor against groups of enemies, and coupled with its slow attack animation makes it a poor weapon to use in several situations.
List of Spears
Slashing Spear
Slashing Spears are highly similar to halberds in that it is a long ranged weapon with several wide attacks. It has a much shorter range than the Spear which makes it poor for fighting solo enemies but great against groups of enemies.
List of Slashing Spears
Dual Swords
The Dual Swords is a weapon with an extremely fast attack animation. However, its attacks take a while to finish which makes it vulnerable to counterattacks. Its damage is also low as its base damage is divided into the two weapons but it can quickly rack up damage in short time frames which makes it ideal for an aggressive but cautious play style.
List of Dual Swords
Dual Sabres
Like the Dual Swords, the Dual Sabres also sports a fast attack animation and several blows per strike. It also suffers from lengthy attack animation which can be fatal if counter-attacked by your foes. It does have a higher deflect rate which makes it a great alternative to the Dual Swords if you prefer a defensive playstyle over a hyper-aggressive one for the Dual Swords.
List of Dual Sabres
Dual Halberds
The hardest-hitting dual weapon. It has the lowest deflect rate but it has an overall higher base and spirit damage as well as guard stat. This weapon is great if you do not wish to focus on deflection while also wanting to dish out high amounts of damage with multiple short burst attacks.

Other Weapon Type Characteristics
All Weapons Have Martial Arts
Each weapon has a martial art with weapons that have a rarity of 3 or higher having two. The Martial arts they can possess are random and only exclusive to each weapon type so consider this when choosing a weapon you're going to upgrade moving forward.
You Can Equip Two Melee Weapons and 1 Ranged Weapon
You can immediately equip two weapons at once without constantly swapping them from your inventory. These weapons can then be swapped in the middle of the fight by pressing R2 and using the D-Pad to swap between weapons 1 and 2 (Console Version).
How to Swap Weapons
All Weapons Can be Upgraded
Once you unlock the Blacksmith, all weapons can be upgraded. All weapons have the same crafting cost per level which makes it easier to see if you have enough material to upgrade a new weapon if you wish to swap to a new one later on!
How to Upgrade Equipments
Each Weapon Have Unique Stat Scalings
Aside from their base damage, spirit damage, and defenses, all weapons also have their unique stat scaling. Weapons with wood virtue scaling will deal more damage if you invest more stats into Wood Virtue while weapons with Fire Virtue will deal more damage if you increase your Fire Virtue. Take your weapon choice into consideration when leveling your character!
